Frequently Asked Questions
What are the advantages to recruiting from overseas and How will this benefit my business?
In a global marketplace, companies can benefit from motivated, English-speaking employees with international experience. Overseas recruitment ensures higher staff retention and loyalty, resulting in reduced HR and training costs normally expended when there is a high turnover of employees.
Do you verify candidate qualifications and previous employment experience?
Our Philippine office thoroughly verifies all degree and post-graduate qualifications, including transcript authenticity, with the records and administration department of each educational institution. We carry out thorough reference and previous employer checks for each candidate presented for the shortlist and where possible, obtain written confirmation of the authenticity of their qualifications and previous employment. In many cases, our strong network of contacts in many of the Philippines’ education institutions, industry and government can assist us in the authentication and vetting process.
How can I be ensured that I get good quality staff?
Starting from our first meeting, we work very closely with you to ensure that candidates presented meet the role’s requirements at all levels. You have the opportunity to interview shortlisted candidates by phone link or videoconference. This method of interviewing allows you to “meet” the candidate and interview them face-to-face, without the travel costs. Of course if you prefer to conduct onsite interviews in the Philippines we can arrange all your travel and accommodation needs, as well as transportation to and from our Manila office. At the end of the day, you can focus on choosing the right person for your organisation, we allow this to happen by taking care of the extra steps for you. Our reputation is based on the quality of our candidates.

Do I need to provide health insurance?
Health insurance for overseas staff is strongly recommended. Your company may choose to cover employees under an existing health plan arrangement, or there are health insurance packages specifically tailored for 457 employees that are available. These 457-specific health insurance packages include certain coverage (such as medical repatriation cover and funeral expenses) not generally found in standard policies. Typically, such insurance cover costs around AUD1900-2500, depending on the level of cover.
